I do love working with Lion Brand’s Homespun yarn. It can be a little tricky to work with, but it is perfect for making a soft and warm hat. The color variations are so pretty! It is also perfect to make a Chemo hat. It is so soft and squishy. It is also important to note that there are 2 different weights of Homespun yarn. The yarn worked with in this pattern is a 5 weight. Here is a description of the yarn from the Lion Brand Company.
Soft, silky and beautiful! A uniquely textured yarn that works up quickly and easily. From shawls to sweaters to throws, this yarn can’t be beat for softness and sheer touch-ability. With solids, heathers, and beautiful self-striping ‘painterly’ colors, Homespun comes in gorgeous shades you’ll love.
Please note that some colors have long, slow color variations that cause them to subtly stripe. This is deliberate and adds to the beauty of the finished garment; such yarns are designated as our ‘painterly’ colors.

Reading through the pattern, it was noted that the first measurement would be shown in green after the first round but I’m not seeing it. I do see the one after Round 5 in black. What might the measurement be? Thanks!
