Vintage Inspired Washcloth #1

Cotton washcloths are so nice to use, and adding bits of lace and ribbon give that vintage feel, transporting you to a time gone by when attention to detail was given to washcloths and items in a ladies boudoir. I love to crochet washcloths.

The Round cluster Basket is a part of the “Bright Spot Monday” Feature. You won’t miss a feature if you follow my Facebook business page or my instagram! I will also share my “Bright Spot Monday” in my Crafting Group  Just ask to join! Scroll down for more info.

The crochet pattern for the square washcloth is below, just keep scrolling.

You can find the pdf of both the rectangle and square washcloth at Ravelry

My mother would have loved having this set in her bath. The children would not be allowed to touch, as she would’ve wanted to keep her little corner of pretty in pristine condition.

The ebook for the entire set, which includes the basket patterns can be found on Ravelry.

You will find the Ebook for the entire set, and it is drastically reduced.

Weave lace through the beading and tie in knots at the corner and trim. This is also cute with ribbon bows at the corners. Embellishing these sweet and Fancy Washcloths is so much fun…and they make great gifts too!

Pic tutorial 1: below is showing the lace being woven through the beading round. If using flat lace, do not skip a hole, but with pre-gathered lace, it looks good if you skip a hole or two. It is a pretty option.

Pic tutorial 2: When executing the edge round across the bottom row, where the foundation CH that has a row of SC worked into it, if you drop below the SC Row, it will look like one row of edging.

Pic1 has an arrow pointing to the opening where you should insert your hook.

Pic 2 is showing how the loop has been drawn up to make the SC.

Pic 3 Shows how this can give the illusion of one SC row.
