How to Crochet A Heart Stitch Dishcloth

How to crochet a heart stitch dishcloth is easy & fun. Give it as a gift or to have in your own kitchen. Use Red Heart Scrubby Sparkle Yarn to crochet those little hearts, or use cotton dishcloth yarn when executing the heart stitch, like the dishcloth pictured below.

I sometimes use affiliate links in my posts. This won’t cost you anything, but will help offset the cost of yarn and other supplies needed, so that I can continue bringing you crochet patterns and craft ideas. Thank you so much for your support.

The Heart Stitch is fun, and it inspired me to create other kitchen items, along with a few kitchen storage baskets.

I will be releasing the crochet patterns for these items well before Valentine’s day. The heart scrubby has already been released, and it’s a hit.

The photo of the dishcloth below, was made by a friend of mine. She executed a slip stitch around the entire dishcloth. This is what she had to say, about her execution.
“When I was done w hanging loop, I started the slip stitch border. At each of the three corners, I did a chain before I turned the corner, to carry on.”

Thank you Heidi! Your work is beautiful!
