Crochet Round Plaid Basket | Free Pattern

This crochet round basket is part of “My Mountain Lodge Collection”. This round basket is a compliment to the The Oval Basket. The Round Basket is a bit taller than the Oval Basket. They are a perfect pair for your storage needs. I love how the bow makes this design so fancy. The free crochet pattern is found on this blog, or purchase the ad free pdf at RAVELRY or ETSY.

This crochet round basket can hold a bit of stuff. Use it to hold washcloths, hair accessories, or make one in red and black plaid for Christmas, or a Woodland themed nursery. It could hold a lot of little things that a baby needs.

Please add this to your Ravelry Que, and if you would like to have the complete pattern in your Ravelry Library, you can pick it up here!

When you pair a stiff yarn and with this sequence of stitches it makes a sturdy basket. The sides of the round basket stand up on their own.

The H BP HDC (High Back Post Half Double Crochet) stitch creates a unique ridge that help my baskets sit flush to the surface. I love using this stitch, and you will find it in a lot of my designs. Here are just a few.
1. Oval Basket  2. Victorian Heirloom Basket  3. Pineapple Basket  4. Pillbox Hat

Please feel free to pin the photo below!

Of course this design is perfect for holding cute crocheted pumpkins. Hey! I have a pumpkin pattern that is easy and has been a hit with many crochet artists. Ooooppssss…I am giving you a sneak peek of the next pumpkin design!
