Turkey Face Applique

Turkey Eye’s (make 2)

Ch 3 join in ring

Round 1: ch 1; 7 sc in ring; join w/slp st to beg. sc

Round 2: ch 1; 2 hdc in joining st and in each st around; join w/slp st to beg. hdc

Round 3: ch 1; hdc in joining st; 2 hdc in nxt st; *hdc in nxt st; 2 hdc in nxt st;* repeat around; join w/slp st to beg. hdc; End off, leave long tail for sewing on to the hood.

ch 6; 3 hdc in 2nd ch from hook; 3 hdc in nxt 3 ch’s; 1 hdc in last ch, End off.

Turkey Beak:

dec = decrease; dc two st’s together to make one stich or sc two st’s together to make one stitch.

ch 4, hdc in 2nd ch from hook; hdc in nxt 2 ch’s, ch 1 and turn

Row 2: dec, hdc in nxt st, ch 1 and turn

Row 3: dec; ch 1, turn slightly and sc down the side of beak; 3 sc st’s at the corner, sc across the top of the beak; 3 sc at nxt corner; sc down the second side of the beak, 3 sc at the tip of the beak; join w/slp st to beg. sc.
