Lemon Farmhouse Basket Crochet Pattern

This Lemon Farmhouse Basket is so quick to crochet. Add a stiff cardboard liner and the sides will stay tall and strait. You can use it to hold dinner rolls, and it coordinates perfectly with the other Lemon Farmhouse items. This basket uses unique stitches that give it that little pop. This pattern is part of the “Summer Celebration at Krissys”.

I sometimes use affiliate links in my posts. This won’t cost you anything, but will help offset the cost of yarn and other supplies needed, so that I can continue bringing you crochet patterns and craft ideas. Thank you so much for your support.

The Lemon Farmhouse Basket goes perfectly with the other items in the Lemon Farmhouse Kitchen and Table Decor Crochet patterns.

I created a Towel Topper It was a first for me. I really enjoyed designing it, and I am sure there will be more variations to come. The Lovely Lemons are the perfect embellishment to the towel topper, and I think they would look so cute as a garland. Of course there are placemats, mug rugs and coasters.

If you would like to know how to add a stiff liner with a cute ruffle to the top of the Lemon Farmhouse Basket, this video will show you how.

Yarn Used:

Red Heart Super Saver; MC= White; CC1 Yellow; CC2 = Navy

Round Basket – 2 strands held together; MC= White – 200 yds; CC1 = Yellow – 70 yds; CC2 =  Navy – 10 yds

Notes on Yarn Used:
If using a lightweight cotton such as Hobby Lobby’s “I Love This Cotton” it will make a smaller product.

Special Stitch Guide:

crab stitch = reverse single crochet, executing a sc backwards.

mb = Mini Bean Stitch = insert hook into the stitch indicated, draw up a loop, yo, insert hook into the same st, draw up a loop, yo, draw thru all 4 loops on hook, ch 1 to close the stitch.

The mb stitch is a unique cluster stitch. When the pattern is worked in rows each row of stitches has a right and left tilt.  It is easy to use the ch 1 space to execute the cluster, but it will not give you the right, left tilt.

Using “L” hook & holding 2 strand’s of MC, ch 3 & join in a ring
