Baby Doll Dress And Hat | Free Crochet Pattern

This baby doll dress and hat are so cute, and the crochet pattern is free. You will be surprised at how many of these little doll dress and hat sets that you can make in an evening. This is a great stash buster as it uses a worsted weight (4) yarn. Keep scrolling to find the free crochet pattern, or purchase the ad free pdf at RAVELRY or ETSY. I love these little dolls! They are becoming scarce, but can still be found at some Dollar Tree stores.

I sometimes use affiliate links in my posts. This won’t cost you anything, but will help offset the cost of yarn and other supplies needed, so that I can continue bringing you crochet patterns and craft ideas. Thank you so much for your support.

The little ones in your life will love the little dress and hat.

I made this little doll dress and hat in Christmas colors, to celebrate a Mini Christmas In July! It was fun sharing new Christmas themed crochet patterns in the month of July. We had a great time celebrating.

Red and White Moses Basket sitting on a table. There is a white bow on the hood and two dolls sitting in the background with matching crocheted outfits on.

These little dolls fit perfectly into the mini Shell Moses Basket. The two paired together would make a great Christmas gift for little ones.

Finish by making a chain to weave through the half double crochet beading round. Chain 70 if you like the length the dolls are wearing. Chain 60 to 65 if you would like it to be shorter.

Before weaving in all ends, use the beginning tail at the opening at the back of the neck, to make a button loop.

Thread the yarn tail into a yarn needle. I use a metal needle for this job. Begin to weave the tail in the opposite direction, and do not pull it tight. Leave a little loop for the button. Proceed to weave the yarn tail back to the loop, then proceed to weave the yarn tail north and south a couple of times, making sure that the yarn is being woven through the yarn that is holding the loop. Continue to weave it back and forth, until the loop is secure.

Sew a ¼” button to the opposite side.
