Easy To Crochet Headband: Free Pattern

You will love the easy to crochet headband and you will find the free crochet pattern down below. This is considered a beginner friendly pattern, but seasoned crocheters have found this to be fun and useful to crochet. You can purchase the ad free pdf at RAVELRY or ETSY.

Crocheting this headband has been a delight for so many.

There are a few folks who have crocheted this headband and shared their photos with me on Ravelry. If you would like to take a look, this is where you need to go.

This headband is a great stash busting design.

You can easily use up little balls of yarn. I have seen this crocheted with brightly colored variegated yarn. It was so pretty. Of course you would need a white, cream or black colored yarn as a contrast.

I’m sure you want to know what’s happening on my side of the mountain. So here you go…Sign up for my Newsletter!

The Houndstooth check stitch is found in many of my crochet designs.

You can find thm in theA Walk In The Park” Ebook. There are 9 different designs. The slouchy hat is a favorite with the young crowd, and the “Great Gatsby” is so elegant!

The slouchy beanie is free on this blog as well as the “Walk in the Park” Cape Poncho Hoodie.

The unique thing about this headband is the stitch change at the nape of the neck.

This stitch change creates a ribbed portion that is a little bit stretchy. I also added great measurements to the crochet pattern, so that it is easy to get the right size headband.

I think this houndstooth check crochet stitch is so fun to design with.

I designed several items using this stitch, back in 2017. Actually I made a collection and put them into an ebook. I call it “A Walk In The Park”.

The reason for the name is it started with a Doggie Sweater, then other designs for the Dog Walker came off my hook. A beautiful slouch hat was first. Then a hooded cowl / poncho

Next were boot cuffs, and then I had to create this fun headband / ear warmer.
