Krissys Over The Mountain Crochet

And Crafts

Velvet Hat With Fur Trim

I had a blast yesterday crocheting this velvet slouch hat with fur trim while live on Facebook. Watch the video to find out all of the tips and tricks you will need to know when working with Vel-luxe by Lion Brand Yarn, and the Go For Faux fake fur by Lion Brand.

I sometimes use affiliate links in my posts. This won’t cost you anything, but will help offset the cost of yarn and other supplies needed, so that I can continue bringing you crochet patterns and craft ideas. Thank you so much for your support.

Crochet this velvet slouch hat in an evening. Add fake fur yarn to trim the brim. When you try on this cutie you won't want to take it off!
A lovely soft and fun velvet slouch hat. Fast and fun to crochet.

Watch the live video below to see this beautiful velvet hat come to life.

I really enjoyed making this sweet hat and getting feedback from you while I was making it. I will go live every Sunday at 2:30 pm EST at Facebook, then I head to my Facebook group Krissy’s Over The Mountain Crochet and Crafts, then I take a trip to Instagram. It’s a fun afternoon of live videos.

I do love to work with Velvet yarns. The Hipster Boston Velvet Hat is styled like a snowboarders hat and is just as much fun to crochet as this slouchy.

I also used a Vel-Luxe velvet yarn to make Gracie’s Blanket. It’s a cabled blanket that is so luxurious and rich. You need to check it out!

Have you ever used velvet yarn or faux fur yarn? I would like to know. Please leave me a comment to tell me of your velvet yarn adventures.
