St. Patrick’s Day Messy Bun Hat

What a fun St. Patrick’s Day messy bun hat. Pair it up with the shamrock coffee cozy to present as a gift to your favorite Irish fan. The shamrocks are made by crocheting around the posts of stitches below.

It’s St. Patrick’s Day and it’s my husband’s Birthday. In honor of his 65th birthday, grab the ad free pdf at  RAVELRY thru midnight EST 3/17/23  Use the code: CURTSBDAY.  If you miss out on the Freebie, you can purchase the pattern at RAVELRY or  ETSY

I sometimes use affiliate links in my posts. This won’t cost you anything, but will help offset the cost of yarn and other supplies needed, so that I can continue bringing you crochet patterns and craft ideas. Thank you so much for your support.

This St. Patrick's Day messy bun hat is fun to crochet. Those shamrocks wrap around the posts of the stitches below. No need to sew on an applique!

Shaping your shamrocks after they are made is fun, and you can stiffen them a little with Spray Starch. Place paper or some kind of barrier behind the shamrocks, and spray them, smoothing them into place.
