Crochet Heart Stitch K Cup Basket Free Pattern

Crochet this easy k cup basket. It is cute and the perfect size to have close to your coffee maker. You will find the free crochet pattern, if you keep scrolling.

Crochet this basket for your coffee bar. It will hold your single serve coffee cups. This basket is so quick and east to crochet too!

The k cup basket coordinates with the Proverbs Series Storage Items. 

The Proverbs Series of Crochet Patterns is a part of the Valentine’s 2022 crochet pattern bundle. The whole bundle also includes Valentine patterns that are From The Heart.           

Round K Cup Basket (Proverbs Series)

Yarn Used:

Caron One Pound; MC = 150 – 160 yds:

Red Heart Super Saver = 40 to 50 yds

Gauge:

Finished Measurements – Circumference – 6″, Diameter – 19″, Height – 3.5″

Hook

L-11/8.00 mm & K-10.5/6.50 mm

Stitch Guide:

MC = Main Color = Gray

CC = Contrasting Color = Soft White

ch = Chain

sc = Single Crochet

hdc = Half Double Crochet

h bp hdc = High Back Post Half Double Crochet – execute a back post hdc stitch, directly under the top two loops, going around the post, HIGH and directly above the third loop.

hdc dec = Half Double Crochet Decrease

join w/ = join with

slp st = Slip Stitch

skp = Skip

nxt = Next

prev. = previous

st./st’s = stitch or stitches

beg. = beginning

* * = Complete sequence between the stars, the number of times stated;

x = Times; example Repeat 2 x or 2 times; 3 x or 3 times and so on;

in = example “in nxt st” means you will be inserting the hook under the top two loops of the next stitch to complete stitch or sequence of stitches stated

yo = Yarn Over

Special Stitches:

beg. heart st = Beg. Heart Stitch: turning ch 2, counts as a stitch; *yo, insert hook, pull up a loop* 2x; yo, pull thru all 3 loops on hook; ch 2; *yo, insert hook, pull up a loop* 3x; yo pull thru all 4 loops on hook

heart stitch = Heart Stitch: in the stitch indicated; *yo, insert hook, pull up a loop* 3x; yo, pull thru all 4 loops on hook; ch 2; *yo, insert hook, pull up a loop* 3x; yo pull thru all 4 loops on hook

h bp hdc = High Back Post Half Double Crochet – execute a back post hdc stitch, directly under the top two loops, going around the post, HIGH and directly above the third loop.

Special Notes:

Do not Turn your work, until you start working in the round, until you reach the Heart Stitch Rounds. Follow the pattern instructions.

Round Single Serve Coffee Cup Basket Crochet Pattern (Proverbs Series)

Beginning: Hold 2 strands of yarn throughout the whole pattern.

Use the L-11/8.00 mm hook, ch3, join in a ring

Round 1:

ch1, 11 hdc st’s in ring, join w/slp st to beg. hdc; (11 st’s)

Round 2:

ch1, 2hdc in joining st; 2hdc in each st around; join w/slp st to beg. hdc; (22 st’s)

Round 3:

ch1, hdc in joining st, 2hdc in nxt st; *hdc in nxt st, 2hdc in nxt st;* 10x; join w/slp st to beg. hdc; (33 st’s)

Round 4:

ch1, hdc in joining st & nxt st, 2hdc in nxt st; *hdc in nxt st, 2hdc in nxt st;* 2x; hdc in nxt 5 st’s; *2hdc in nxt st, hdc in nxt 2st’s;* 5x; 2hdc in nxt st, hdc in last 3 st’s; join w/slp st to beg. hdc; (42 st’s)

Round 5:

ch1, h bp hdc in joining st and in each st around; join w/slp st to beg. hdc; (42 st’s)

Round 6 – 9:

IMPORTANT: Switch to K-10.5/6.50 mm crochet hook

ch1, sc in joining st and in each st around; join w/slp st to beg. sc; dropping MC and pull up CC at the join at the end of Round 9 & ch2 and turn (42st’s)

Round 10 :

execute a beg. heart st; *ch2, skp 5 st’s, heart st;* repeat between *  * around; ch2, skp last 5 st’s, drop and end off CC, bring the CC tails to the inside of the basket, pull up MC at the join, but first make sure the MC is at the front of the basket; join w/slp st to beg. sc; ch1 & turn

Round 9:

*(drop into the row below the heart st, execute 1 hdc, in 2, 3 & 4, of the 5 sc st’s that were skipped) ch2,  sc in ch2 sp of heart st; ch 2* repeat around between the *  *; join w/slp st to beg. st;

Round 10:

ch1; *sc in nxt 3 hdc st’s; sc in ch2 sp; sc in the sc at the top of nxt heart, sc in ch2 sp;* repeat between *  * around; join w/slp st to beg. sc. End off. weave in all ends.

Finished Measurements – Circumference – 6″; Diameter – 19″; Height – 3.5″
