I am thinking I might put the shamrock on with a button so that I can switch it out according to the season (flower, heart, etc).
That’s a great idea! I made a floating heart stitch towel topper last month, and a follower suggested that they would like to leave off the floating stitch as well…so I wrote a pattern without the floating stitch, and it is free here on my blog.
