Crochet A Floating Shamrock Stitch Towel Topper

How fun it is to crochet a floating shamrock stitch towel topper! Let’s add a little bit of Irish to your kitchen or bath.  The 3D floating shamrock stitch was developed by Kris, of Krissy’s Over the Mountain Crochet and Crafts. The free crochet pattern is found on YOUTUBE.

Adding this Crocheted Shamrock Stitch Towel Topper to any kitchen will help create that fun festive St. Patrick’s Day vibes in your home.

Although it may require a bit more skill and concentration to crochet this towel holder, my user-friendly photo tutorials and clear, concise video instructions make learning this intricate stitch a breeze. Whether you’re a visual learner or prefer written guidance, these resources are designed to accommodate various learning styles.

St. Patrick’s Day is my husband’s Birthday.

He will celebrate his 66th birthday this year. To celebrate, all shamrock inspired crochet patterns  you can view them on  RAVELRY & ETSY.

The Floating Shamrock Stitch is fun and you don’t have to applique the shamrock in place, as it is crocheted as you go.

That’s right! There is no need to sew that Shamrock on the tab of the towel topper. It is crocheted as you crochet the tab. You will also find a Floating Heart Stitch Towel Holder.

If you are a visual learner, you may enjoy following along with this free video tutorial.

Thanks, Krissy- looks like a great quick pattern to make up for gifts. I love that you can add different bits on the towel holder for the season. Just grabbed my free copy. I am thinking I might put the shamrock on with a button so that I can switch it out according to the season (flower, heart, etc).

That’s a great idea! I made a floating heart stitch towel topper last month, and a follower suggested that they would like to leave off the floating stitch as well…so I wrote a pattern without the floating stitch, and it is free here on my blog. I’ll link the post down below. Like you said…the fun thing is the switching out of buttons…change the buttons according to the seasons. So much fun!https://krissysoverthemountaincrochet.com/2024/02/how-to-crochet-a-simple-towel-holder-free-crochet-pattern/
