CH 8 9 10 11

Row 1: SC in 2nd CH from hook and in each CH across; CH 1 and Turn; (7sc 8sc 9sc 10sc

This next sequence will create the ribbing for the boot cuff. I execute this in a loose fashion, this is  meant to be stretchy, so if you tend to crochet tightly shrug your shoulders and relax, breathe and  remember loose…this should be loose.

I think this houndstooth check crochet stitch is so fun to design with.

I designed several items using this stitch, back in 2017. Actually I made a collection and put them into an ebook. I call it “A Walk In The Park”.

The Boot Cuffs happened because of the Houndstooth check Doggie Sweater, then other designs for those who walk their dog regularly, came off my hook. A beautiful slouch hat  and a hooded cowl / poncho
are easy accessories to throw on, when you are heading out the door to walk your dog. They really are beautiful!

You will want to crochet matching headband / ear warmer to go with your boot cuffs.

I hope you enjoy today’s free download…and don’t forget to share the love with your friends that crochet.
