Roaring 1920’s Hat Crochet Pattern

This Roaring 20’s Hat Crochet Pattern has been quite a hit. It surprised me how may folks love this hat. It can be dressed up or down. Dress it up in a Great Gatsby style with Feathers and blingy brooches. Don’t add the embellishments and you have an adorable retro hat from the 80’s & 90’s.

The Roaring 20’s was a time of over the top hats and accesories for women.

I don’t know if I am brave enough to wear this style, but I would enjoy getting to dress up for a special occasion. In 2022 Mississippi State University held a Gatsby Gala. You can peruse the photos and videos here. Great Gatsby Gala

I hope this 1920’s Hat Crochet Pattern will inspire you to enjoy a time of remembering yesteryear.

Colors were bright. Feathers were a great embellishments as well as anything that sparkles. Wouldn’t it be fun to have a family time celebrating the 1920’s. You would crochet all of the women a hat. Then sit down for a lovely dinner. If you would like to purchase the Roaring 1920’s Crochet Hat Pattern, the ad free pdf is available at RAVELRY or ETSY

So many profile photos exist of the 1920’s flapper each one makes me sigh with contentment.

The hats, the feathers, the dresses. Such a fun time to remember. There are other crocheted items that coordinate with this Roaring 1920’s Crochet Hat Pattern. You will find the “Walking In The Park Poncho” as a free pattern here on this blog.

I had great fun designing a Breast Cancer Awareness Hat, in this 1920’s inspired style.

I believe this hat could be used by chemo patients if they layer it with a chiffon scarf. Bring the ends to cross in front under the chin. Let one end hang down and throw the other end to the back, across your shoulder.

Here are 5 little known facts about Breast Cancer that can be found at MDAnderson.org that every woman should know.

Breast cancer in its earliest stages usually doesn’t have any symptoms. When symptoms do appear, it’s not always in the form of a lump. Be on the lookout for any of the signs below and report them to your doctor right away.

  • Lump in your breast
  • Swelling in or around your breast, collarbone or armpit
  •  Skin thickening or redness in or around your breast
  • Breast warmth and itching
  • Nipple changes or discharge
  • Breast pain lasting for more than three to four weeks

It was easy to tack that ribbon on the side of this Roaring 1920’s hat, to resemble a Cancer Ribbon.

That glitzy cabochon was handsewn in place. Even though the intent for it to represent a Roaring 1920’s Hat you can use this Crochet Pattern to honor any era. It really looks nice without embellishments.

There is another fun hat that I designed this houndstooth checked stitch. It’s a slouch hat.

It is a lovely and trendy hat. If you are prone to wearing a messy bun, then this hat pattern is for you. It has room in the back for your hair and looks so pretty. Hang it on a hook by the door, and you can just throw it on when you need to go outside.

This Roaring 1920’s Crochet Hat Pattern is part of a collection of coordinating crochet patterns. You can purchase all 9 crochet patterns in a bundle at RAVELRY or ETSY.

It was so good to have you on my side of the mountain. If you would like to purchase the Roaring 1920’s Crochet Hat Pattern, the ad free pdf is available at RAVELRY or ETSY

I hope you enjoyed your stay on my side of the mountain. I would love to hear from you. If you make this crochet hat I would love it you would come to my crochet and craft group to let me know.

God Bless,
Krissy

That peacock feather can be left off. I love how it looks so 90’s without any embellishments.

I lost my text twice. Grrr.
    1) like bracket/white hat but prefer soft, heart warming pink/gray one.
    2) I suggest random selection for the free pdf pattern. I don’t have breast cancer (family/friends have) but my situation is permanent and life changing. How nice to get up and comment first thing. My life tasks take longer. I still support Brest cancer eradication. My issue doesn’t get the same attention. It would be nice to have a chance. Respectfully submitted.
