    Hook:
    L – 11/8.00mm

     H – 8/5.00mm

    DC = Double Crochet

    TRB = Treble Crochet

    H BP HDC = High Back Post Half Double Crochet (Pic below)

    SP = Space

    nxt = Next

    st = Stitch

    * * = Execute sequence between the stars, the number of times stated

    x = Times; example Repeat 2 x or 2 times; 3 x or 3 times and so on

    in = example “in nxt st” means you will be inserting the hook under the top two loops of the next stitch  to complete stitch or sequence of stitches stated.

    YO = yarn over

    CC = Contrasting Color

    MC = Main Color

    Pattern Notes:

    1. Beginning CH 1 does not count as a stitch
    2. When crocheting the base, please pay close attention to how each round is written, as the increases  for the base of the basket are not executed in a standard form. I have staggered some of the increases,  so they are not sitting directly above the previous round’s increase. This helps the base to be flatter, and  not so rippled.

It’s a free crochet pattern on this blog. My next favorite is the Bunny Stitch Moses Basket. It is so fun to crochet and yes, it is a free crochet pattern on this blog.
