One year, I decided to make a really big pumpkin, but it needed texture. The result was a trio of beautifully textured pumpkins that begged for embellishments. That’s how the Lovely Pumpkin Tower was born.

Step 9 – Glue or use a straight pin or pins to secure the pull tie bow into place.

I think an Ivory colored Satin Pull Tie Bow is a beautiful option. Leave the tails on your bow long and the loops a little bigger. Fold it in half and pin into place.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What yarn weight is best?
A: Worsted weight acrylic yarn is recommended for sturdy pumpkins that hold their shape.

Q: Can I use cotton yarn?
A: Yes! But keep in mind cotton has less stretch and your pumpkins will feel a bit denser.

Q: What if I want smaller pumpkins?
A: I have a free small pumpkin pattern here.

Q: Should I glue or pin my pumpkins?
A: For a permanent tower (especially for events), I recommend gluing. If you’d like to re-use the pumpkins separately, use T-pins.
