This Camouflage Bucket Hat Crochet Pattern is easy and fun to crochet. I stumbled upon this design while in my rocking chair. Easing the cares of the day away through crochet.
The silk artificial daisy has a crystal center that is securely sewn to the side of the Bucket Hat. You will find a tutorial at the end of the pattern.
I love the pink rows of mini popcorn crochet stitches. This would look great using any other variegated yarn. The free crochet pattern is below for you to make this easy to wear hat for you or someone special.

Yarn:
Red Heart Super Saver, medium (worsted) weight acrylic 4-ply yarn; 7oz./ 364 yds./198 g per skein (Green Camouflage & Petal Pink) were used for hat pictured.
Supplies:
Gerber Daisy, artificial silk. Crystal sew on stone.
Gauge:
3”wide=10hdc=3rows=1 ½” (using 4-ply yarn and “H” hook)
3”wide=9hdc= 3rows =1 ¾” (using 4-ply yarn and “J” hook)
Important note: “H” hook is what you will use to achieve a size 12mo-4t sized hat, and the “J” hook will give you the larger sizes.
HOOK:H/8/5MM (use this hook for 12-24mo & 2t-4t)
12 – 24mo = 18″ – 19.5″ : 2T – 4T = 20″ – 20.5″
J/9/5.5mm Hook( use this hook for 5t-preteen & adult sizes)
5T – Preteen or adult extra small = 20.5″-21.5
Special Stitch:
Mini Popcorn = yo pull up loop in nxt sc, using that loop only and leaving original loop on hook, ch3, pull loop through both loops on hook.

CC = Contrasting Color
sc = single crochet
dc = Double Crochet
hdc = Half Double Crochet

slpst = slip stitch
yo = yarn over
in sp. = execute st. by going under the CH that is creating the sp. Do not execute st. directly into a CH

With Camo or MC, Ch3 (ch4 for beginners) and slpst in first ch to form a ring.
Rnd. 1: ch2 11hdc in ring, slpst into 2nd ch of beg. ch2
(12st counting beg ch, beg ch will count as one hdc through the rest of the pattern)
Rnd. 2: ch2, hdc in joining st; 2hdc in each st around, slpst into 2nd ch of beginning ch2 (24 hdc)
Rnd. 3: ch2, 2hdc in nxtst, (1hdc in nxtst, 2hdc in nxtst) repeat sequence between ( ) 8 times, slpst into 2 nd ch of beginning ch2
(36 hdc)
Rnd. 4: ch2, hdc in nxtst, 2 hdc in nxtst, ( 1hdc in nxtst 2x, 2hdc in nxtst) repeat sequence between ( ) 9 times; slpst into 2nd
ch of beginning ch2 (48hdc)
Do not complete Rnd. 5 if making 12-24 mo. Or 5t-preteen(adult extra small) and adjust numbers accordingly.
Rnd. 5: ch2, hdc in nxtst 2x, 2 hdc in nxtst, ( 1hdc in nxtst 3x, 2hdc in nxtst) repeat sequence between ( ) 9 times; slpst into 2nd ch of beginning ch2 (60 hdc)
Rnd. 6: ch2, 1hdc in each st around, slpst into 2nd ch of beginning ch2 (60)
Rnd. 7: ch2, 1hdc in each st around, drop camo or MC to back, and using pink, slpst into 2nd ch of beginning ch2 (60)
Rnd. 8: ch1, sc in each st around and drop pink or CC color to the back and pick up the camo or MC and slp st in ch 1
(60sc counting ch1)
Repeat Rnd. 8 for Adult large, and repeat twice for Extra Large
Rnd. 9: (CROSS STITCH ROW) ch 3, cross back to last sc of previous row, to make first crossed stitch, then proceed [Skip 1 sc, make 1dc in next sc; 1dc in skipped sc;] (this will make the CROSS STICH) Repeat what is between the brackets over the next 50 sc, drop camo or MC to the back, and pick up pink or CC, slpst in top of ch3
(30 CROSS STITCHES)
Rnd. 10: ch1, sc in each st around, slpst in first sc
(60 sc counting ch1)
Mini Popcorn Round
Rnd. 11: ch1(counts as 1st sc) yo pull up loop in nxt sc, using that loop only and leaving original loop on hook, ch3, pull loop through both loops on hook (1st mini popcorn made) sc in nxt st, pushing the mini popcorn to the front. *mini popcorn in nxtst, sc in nxtst * 13x; mini popcorn, slpst in first sc or ch1. (30 mini popcorns)
Rnd. 12: ch1, sc in each st around, slpst in beg ch1. (60 sc)
Rnd. 13 & 14: Repeat Rnd 11 & 12, picking up camo or MC before slpst at the end of round 14
Rnd. 15: ch1, sc in each st around, slpst in beg ch1. (60 sc)
Rnd. 16: ch1, sc in nxtst, 2x; 2sc in nxtst; * sc in nxtst 3x, 2sc in nxtst;* 13x ;sc in nxtst 3x, 2sc in nxtst; slpst in ch1 (75 sc)
Rnd. 17 & 18, ch1, sc in each st around, slpst in beg ch1 (75 sc)
Rnd. 19: ch1, sc in nxtst 3x, 2sc in nxtst; *sc in nxtst 4x, 2sc in nxtst;
*13x; sc in nxtst 4x, 2sc in nxtst, slpst in beg ch1 (90 sc)
Rnd. 20: ch1, sc in each st around; slpst in beg ch1 end off, and weave in and secure all ends to the inside of hat. (90 sc)
Daisy with Rhinestone Center
2. Using a purchased daisy, take it off the stem. It will pull off with a little effort.
3. Take the plastic parts off of the flower, keeping the flower petals together as they were on the stem
5. Use a purchased Rhinestone that has holes drilled in the sides for sewing in place. This is really a button with the holes on the side.
7. Notice the holes on the side of the stone for sewing in place. Then using needle and thread sew onto hat in place desired, going through all of the petals. It is easiest to insert the needle from the bottom beside the stone, and then insert the needle down into the hole.
