Krissys Over The Mountain Crochet

And Crafts

Crocheted Snowflake Hat

Let me show you how to crochet this simple snowflake hat. It’s called a snowflake hat because of the fussy cut frayed tag at the brim (13.21), that uses scraps of fabric left over from making this adorable skirt.

I sometimes use affiliate links in my posts. This won’t cost you anything, but will help offset the cost of yarn and other supplies needed, so that I can continue bringing you crochet patterns and craft ideas. Thank you so much for your support.

This sweet snowflake hat coordinates with this adorable skirt and tee! The crochet pattern is easy and adding that little bit of flannel, and a snowflake button to the hat makes this snowflake set divine.

You won’t believe how easy and fast it is to make that sweet fat bow and attach it to the waistband of the skirt, and then you won’t believe how easy it is to put a fat bow on an elastic pony tail holder, You will find yourself wanting to add bows to everything!

There are 3 sizes included in the pattern below and you will find the Snowflake tag there as well. You can follow the step by step video on youtube. You will love this video and if you could give it a like and subscribe, I would appreciate it so much!

Flannel Snowflake Tag

Cut a piece of flannel that is 1.5″ wide x 3″ long. Following the photo tutorial steps, starting at number 1, proceed to fray the fabric. (Cutting the strip on the grain will make it easier to fray)

Fray the flannel patch.
Fuse a small piece of Heat and Bond Lite to the back of the flannel patch following the photo tutorial, beginning at photo 1. Disclaimer! A cold iron was held to the patch for photo purposes only. Do not use your hand the fusible onto the fabric. Use an ironing board for this step.
