Half Double Crochet Hat Pattern

Let me show you how to crochet this simple Half Double Crochet hat, that uses scraps of fabric to make an adorable tag at the brim. You can use left over fabric after making an adorable matching skirt.

I sometimes use affiliate links in my posts. This won’t cost you anything, but will help offset the cost of yarn and other supplies needed, so that I can continue bringing you crochet patterns and craft ideas. Thank you so much for your support.

white crocheted hat, with a bit of red on the brim and a flannel snowflake tag made of out snowflake flannel fabric, with a snowflake button sewn on to the brim.

You won’t believe how easy and fast it is to make the Half Double Crochet Hat.

There are 3 sizes included in the free crochet pattern for this hat. The hat is the perfect match to this flannel skirt with a snowflake print. The skirt is so easy to sew.  Adding an adorable, fat bow on the waistband of the skirt is also easy. Make two fat bows and put the second fat bow on an elastic pony tail holder. You will find yourself adding fat bows to everything!

The half double crochet with a flannel snowflake hat, being presented in four different photos. Each photo has a matching snowflake flannel skirt and an adorable red onesie, that has snowflakes on it, and says, "Little Wonder" with a snowflake for the "o". Two photos are showing a big fat flannel bow on the brim of the hat, made out of the same snowflake fabric that is on the skirt.

I have another free hat crochet pattern for kiddos on this blog that you will love.

It’s for the boys and men in your life. If you use variegated camo yarn, and then crochet the toddler or child size, the colors will pool to look like real camo! Such a fun thing to crochet.

You can follow the step by step tutorial on my video on youtube.

You will love this video and if you could give it a like and subscribe, I would appreciate it so much!

This video will show you how to crochet this HDC hat and then how to add the snowflake tag and pom.
