Krissys Over The Mountain Crochet

Large Crochet Basket With Handles

This large basket crochet basket with handles can be made in an evening. It becomes sturdy when you add a fabric covered cardboard liner. It is 35″ around, 13″ tall and has a 12″ diameter. The crochet pattern is  easy to read and requires 2 strands of yarn to be held throughout the design.  1 1/4  yds of fabric and 1 poster board needed to add the liner to the basket. The free crochet pattern is below, or purchase the ad free pdf, that includes all tutorials at RAVELRY or ETSY.

I sometimes use affiliate links in my posts. This won’t cost you anything, but will help offset the cost of yarn and other supplies needed, so that I can continue bringing you crochet patterns and craft ideas. Thank you so much for your support.

Such a lovely and large crocheted basket. The handles are wrapped in flannel and the vintage button with a bit of matching flannel make it so much fun.
This large gray basket is big enough for the small basket and the red basket to nest inside. The fabric covered cardboard liners make them so sturdy. Use a strip of flannel to tie a vintage button to the front. This set of baskets would be perfect for gift giving. Pin this photo so you won’t lose this free crochet pattern.

      Hi Carrie,

I have a video of a baby sweater that uses this stitch. You can watch how to execute the cross stitch when you arrive at the underarm area.
