Farmhouse Pumpkin Towel Topper | Free Crochet Pattern

Everyone is loving this farmhouse pumpkin towel topper. I had to make a few for my kitchen. The cute pumpkin cluster stitch is perfect on the bottom edge of the pumpkin towel topper. I used a cotton dishcloth type of yarn, and that row of clusters looks just like little pumpkins in a row. The free crochet pattern is below, or you can purchase an ad free pdf at the links below. The ad free pdf will include photo tutorials for both applications.

I sometimes use affiliate links in my posts. This won’t cost you anything, but will help offset the cost of yarn and other supplies needed, so that I can continue bringing you crochet patterns and craft ideas. Thank you so much for your support.

The photo below shows Application 1 (bias drape) NOTE: There is one towel topper, but two different ways to apply the towel topper.

A farmhouse pumpkin towel topper to decorate for Fall. This free crochet pattern is fast and fun!

The towel toppers are so fast to make, and they will be a hit at the craft shows.

Your friends and family will appreciate receiving them as a gift too! Change the pumpkin color to a pretty flower color, add a floral towel and it will become a great item for Spring and Summer.

Here is why this pumpkin towel topper is so unique.

It is sewn onto the corner of a towel or across the towel. Then the towel wraps around the oven or fridge handle, and feeds down through the crochet band that is sewn on to the towel!

Watch the video below as it will show you both applications, and how to sew them to a kitchen towel. It will also demonstrate how to hang them on an oven handle.

Application 1 (Optimal Application)

Sew the pumpkin towel topper to a corner at the “front” of the towel. Applying the pumpkin towel topper in this manner makes the towel topper offset, and the towel hangs in a beautiful, bias drape fashion. I love how the towel can be grabbed and messed with, and will not look bedraggled and worn.

Application 2 (Best for a towel with a large artwork motif)

This is the best way to add the towel topper to a kitchen towel that has a large “one-way” artwork motif to the front. The towel topper is applied to the back of the towel, 4″ from the bottom. Make sure to fold those bottom corners back and sew them into place.

Pumpkin Towel Toppers – App 1 & 2

The photo below pictures Application 1 & Application 2. Both towels look great, but the bias draped towel (Application 1) keeps it’s shape much better.

Farmhouse Pumpkin Towel Toppers showing two different applications.

The farmhouse pumpkin towel toppers is my second towel topper design. The first one was created during the Summer Celebration At Krissy’s. It was all about lemons and seaside decor. The  “Lemon Farmhouse Towel Toppers” were a hit. I have plans to design more towel toppers in the future, so stay tuned. The free crochet pattern is below.Farmhouse Pumpkin Towel Topper Stitch Guide and Supply List

This is a pin for the Pumpkin Cluster Towel Topper. Three towels are hanging on an oven handle. The center towel is a tartan type of plaid in fall colors. The two towels on eiither side has a print of tossed pumpkins and sunflowers all over. The pumpkin cluster towel toppers are sewn on to the corner of the towels so that the towels hang on the bias, after they have been looped around the over handle.
