How To Crochet A Nautical Diaper Cover | Free Pattern

Let me show you how to crochet a Nautical Diaper Cover. Diaper Covers have two purposes, cover that diaper and to coordinate with the rest of the babies Nautical outfit. The second purpose is to catch the overflow. Crochet this in wool or cotton and you have a sustainable diaper cover. There are two sizes for this diaper cover, newborn-3 months & 6-9 months.

I may use affiliate links that will not cost you anything, but I may receive a small commission that will help my small business along. Thank you so much for your support.

When I crocheted this diaper cover I used Caron Simply Soft.

The colors are what I needed at the time to crochet this soaker. If you are wanting to recreate this in cotton yarn, Hobby Lobby’s “I Love This Cotton” is a very good choice. There is a Sailor Hat and Bib and they are also free crochet patterns here on my website.

Crocheting a cute little rubber duck applique and adding it to your Nautical Diaper Cover is a fun option.

I really had a lot of fun designing Nautical clothing for babies, it was only natural to add a cute little rubber duck applique. This opens up so many color options. If you don’t like ads, purchase the ad free pdf at that includes the hat and diaper cover at RAVELRY & ETSY.

The anchor buttons on the Diaper Cover are vintage, and you can find many other cute anchor buttons on Etsy.

The anchor buttons were part of the inspiration to crochet this sweet Nautical set. I also have designed a second set called Momma’s Lil Firecracker collection. I used “I Love This Cotton Yarn” from Hobby Lobby. The collection includes the Little Sailor Hat. A pair of Bib Overalls and Shortalls. There is also a pair of Nautical Shorts and a little girls Bib Dress or Jumper.

You will find the free crochet pattern below for the Nautical Diaper Cover
