This easy to crochet sun hat can be styled to reflect a watermelon theme.

You can use hot pink for the watermelon portion. Then switch to white and lime green for the lace brim. When you sew black buttons to the hot pink portion, it will elevate your creation. The free crochet pattern includes 6 sizes – preemie thru adult tween/xs as well as the ad free pdf that can be purchased on Ravelry and Etsy.A cute watermelon themed sun hat, being worn by a sweet 10 yr old girl. The colors on the hat are hot pink, white and green with black buttons sewn to the hot pink portion, to reflect watermelon seeds.

Use red white and blue yarn to crochet this easy sun hat.

This really is such a sweet sun hat to put on your little ones during the summer holiday season. Your child will stand out when you sew white star buttons to the blue portion of this sun hat. Star buttons are easy to find on Etsy.

This easy to crochet sun hat is so sweet in red white and blue yarn, and white buttons sewn on to the blue portion.

Adding a cute pull tie bow to the brim of this easy sun hat is the last embellishment this hat will need.

Use 1.5″ grosgrain ribbon to twist up a sweet bow. You can follow this photo tutorial on how to make a pull tie bow or follow this video tutorial. It will show you how to twist up a pull tie bow using 1″ wide ribbon. The concept is completely the same.

I really love designing Nautical and Patriotic designs for children.

Below are a few of the fun designs with many of the crochet patterns free on this blog. Of course you can purchase the ad free pdf crochet patterns in my Ravelry or Etsy Shops.
