These Jar Covers remind me of my grandmother.
She always had a pretty container in the middle of the table that held a huge amount of spoons. I still don’t know why she had them in the middle of the table. Maybe it was a fad back then?
Most folks can crochet one of these in less than 30 minutes.
The jar covers would be great to use in an office sitting on a desk, or alongside the matching Victorian Heirloom oval basket. Ya know that basket can hold many other things. It isn’t just for tissue rolls.

I have a couple of other jar cover crochet patterns, one is a Pineapple Jar cover and the other’s are pumpkin crochet patterns. My favorite fits around a half gallon jar. Then there is a super mini round jelly jar and they look like little pumpkins. They are so cute! Of course there is a free crochet pattern for the Pint Size Pumpkin Jar Cover.

It was really good to have you on my side of the mountain. I hope you will leavea me a comment to let me know if you will be making this jar cover or any of the other coordinating pieces. I would love to hear from you.

Not Free Basket pattern as posted from Pinterest and other places
The basket is not free…the mason jar cover is. Other sites of ill repute have stolen my photos and added wording to make it seem that the basket is free. I apologize that this has happened. I wish they would leave my photos and the photos of others alone and stop using them for their own gain.
Help me out here. I can’t figure out the H BP HDC. It looks like a regular BP HDC to me. What am I missing?
Hi Vicki,
Hmmmm…how to explain this. A regular BP HDC would go around the main post of the previous stitch…just digging in there and going around and grabbing the yarn…but with the H BP HDC you need to stay HIGH directly under the top two loops, above that third loop. Does that make sense? I am working on my first youtube video, and this stitch will be part of the demonstration.
Thanks for your reply. So I’m to make a super-clean and high stitch. Got it. I love your patterns, your color choices, and your edging on these just makes them POP!
Great way to describe that! Thank you!
