Lace Baby Bloomers – Crochet Pattern

I am so happy to present these Lace Baby Bloomers Crochet Pattern. They have a bit of lace on the backside. It is one of the signature lace crochet patterns found in my Over Brook Series, of crochet patterns. You can purchase the crochet pattern at RAVELRY or ETSY.

I sometimes use affiliate links in my posts. This won’t cost you anything, but will help offset the cost of yarn and other supplies needed, so that I can continue bringing you crochet patterns and craft ideas. Thank you so much for your support.

two pair of lace baby bloomers for the crochet pattern that is being featured.

The lace on the back of the baby bloomers features a unique lace stitch.

There are three rows of lace and the front is plain. Tiny little legs on the bloomers are so cute. They are trimmed with a little fluffy stitches. From the front they look like shorty shorts.

The Bloomers is part of a layette set.

Designing baby items is so pleasurable especially when I can use the lace stitches that are featured in the Over Brook designs. The Over Brook Baby Dress & Baby Shoes is a free crochet pattern here on this blog.

The complete Over Brook Layette set can be purchased at RAVELRY or ETSY.

Yarn Used:

Michaels Brand: Baby Rainbow (4) 100% polyester (less than one ball 364 yds) colorway “Sky Blue” & “Cherubin Rose” This yarn states that it is a (4) but it works up as a (3) I was able to achieve the exact same gauge swatch using Lion Brand Coboo and Bernat Baby Softee. They are both considered a (3)

Supplies:

Stitch markers, measuring tape, Scissors, yarn needle for weaving in yarn tails.
OPTIONAL: ⅛” elastic. Miniature bows made out of 1/8” grosgrain ribbon or any other embellishment you would like.

Here is a video that shows you how to make a simple pull tie bow using ⅝” ribbon, but the concept is the same. How To Make Pull Tie Hair Bow With 5/8″ Dollar Tree Ribbon
Here is a blog post that has a photo tutorial on how to make a pull tie bow.

Designer Notes
1. Please check the gauge before making these bloomers.
2. There are two waistband options. Option 1 is crocheting around ⅛” elastic. Option 2 is a small bit of ribbing with a length of chain woven through those waistband stitches.
