It’s a Pineapple Soap Bag! This the crochet pattern that is being featured today, August 17th!

This Pineapple Soap Bag crochet pattern is such a nice touch to have in the bath, or to take with you on a trip. They are wonderful to add to a gift basket that has homemade soaps, scrubs and bath bombs.

2nd Pattern for Aug. 17th is the Welcome Home Pineapple Basket!
This basket is so lovely. It will stand on it’s own. It’s perfect to put in the foyer so that you can drop your keys in it. I love using mine in the kitchen to hold coffee pods. It has so many uses and it’s so pretty!

The 3rd Pattern for Aug. 17th is the Pineapple Luminary Cover.
Actually it covers a pint mason jar. The crocheted stitches are so open and pretty. Drop a battery operated candle down in there, and they will light up the night. What a joy to have in the summer at night while sitting on the porch. Children are in the yard catching fireflies…ahhhh…summer.

Cotton yarn is the most popular choice for crochet dishcloths. It’s absorbent, durable, and can withstand frequent washing.

Can I use acrylic yarn for dishcloths?

Acrylic yarn is not recommended for a dishcloth. It repels water and will not provide the washing and cleaning effect you desire in a dishcloth.

What yarn weight is best for dishcloths?

Worsted weight  (4) yarn is the best for dishcloths. It gives the right amount of thickness needed for a sturdy dishcloth. Keep your cotton dishcloths as dry as possible to keep them from getting yucky.
