Actually it covers a pint mason jar. The crocheted stitches are so open and pretty. Drop a battery operated candle down in there, and they will light up the night. What a joy to have in the summer at night while sitting on the porch. Children are in the yard catching fireflies…ahhhh…summer.

Common FAQ’s about “What type of yarn is best for crochet dishcloths?”
Cotton yarn is the most popular choice for crochet dishcloths. It’s absorbent, durable, and can withstand frequent washing.
Can I use acrylic yarn for dishcloths?
Acrylic yarn is not recommended for a dishcloth. It repels water and will not provide the washing and cleaning effect you desire in a dishcloth.
What yarn weight is best for dishcloths?
Worsted weight (4) yarn is the best for dishcloths. It gives the right amount of thickness needed for a sturdy dishcloth. Keep your cotton dishcloths as dry as possible to keep them from getting yucky.
Are there specific brands of yarn that are recommended?
Some popular brands for cotton yarn include:

Thank you Krissy for all of the fruit designs for my kitchen (and for family Christmas gifts) they don’t know about so keep it on the down low ok!! I know it will all come out in the wash with a lemon scrubby. pun intended. okay enough with my unwitty humor. But thank you so much for your Talents and in writing patterns and also displaying them so that they are appealing to look at. It is greatly appreciated. God bless you and all of your family, y’all are in my prayers Beverly

thank you so so much for all the shares and patterns. ive followed you for a long time now!
i really cant afford to purchase patterns any longer so i greatly appreciate all the free patterns.
i crochet to decorate my home and for family plus. i crochet lots of things for myself, family and …….hats and scarfs to donate, afghans for the homeless, loveys and stuffies/toys to donate to children, lots of Christmas/birthday gifts, home decor etc. i also donate items to Children’s hospital, cancer patients, and our troops, shipping to a lot of places in the USA, and worldwide. i also crochet hats and scarfs and leave at the post office for the needy in town its such a good feeling to see people actually wearing them! i also do the random acts of kindness and leave items in different places.
theres not much i havent crocheted!!!
i also am a thready too! =), i have donated Christening gown sets for friends all over the world, they take about 2 1/2 months to make! the gown, afghan, bib and pacy set, bonnet, booties…the entire set made of thread!! i remember when i would have to get DH involved to do stitch count!!! LOL its such a blessing for me to give back and especially for babies/kids, cancer patients and the homeless etc.
ive made doilies, center pieces, bedspread sets, tablecloths and table runners, afghans, a lot of Christmas home decor, etc too much to mention. ive crocheted over 50 years being taught by my dear grandmother and mother. i make the thread items because its so much cheaper and the thread goes such a long way as compared to the cost of yarn and quantity, but ive found the yarn items work up so much quicker. life lesson!
i cant thank people enough for the patterns and everything ive been taught in life.
as a child growing up on a 2 acre farm my mother taught me how to can food, embroidery, hand quilting, sewing, cooking, how to run a household etc, we made our own lye soap in those big copper kettles! we did apple butter and molasses stirs for the church. i could go on and on about things ive done/made living on the farm but enough about my life.
i am just so blessed being able to make things and give back.
thank you so much once again.
God Bless.

I can’t tell you how much I have enjoyed hearing from you. I have read it over and over. I published it in my latest newsletter. I feel like it doesn’t need to be hidden in the comments section of my blog. You have lived such a rich life, and you continue to do so by your donations! Your note has brought me great joy and warms my heart so.
I would love to see photos of your creations. You can share them on my group page.
My grandmother took me aside one day and had me watch her crochet. She talked me through what she was doing and that was that. For me, that meant I could crochet…and here we are. I have been crocheting for over 40 years. Spent my teenage years on a farm, doing all of the farm things. It was a good childhood, and we have been able to raise our 5 children on 75 acres. We didn’t farm as much as my mom and dad did, but we have been able to teach our children so many life lessons living here.
So thankful for you and your heart for helping others.
God Bless You!
Kris

Hi, the 3rd pattern, when going to Ravelry, I’ve added to the basket but it’s not coming up with the free pattern. I used Pineapple3 but it’s seems to not be working.
Thank you for all your patterns, much appreciated. I’m looking forward to making the. Soon.
