This mason jar of crochet lemons is so pretty and was so much fun to create. Ball brand has a decorative, half gallon mason jar, that you can find at Wal Mart. I will tell you how to stuff the jar with crocheted lemons and lights. Every kitchen or breakfast nook, needs a mason jar of lights on the table.
The journey to creating this mason jar full of lemons started during the 2nd launch of the Summer Celebration at Krissy’s. It has been a wonderful summer creating farmhouse and seaside decor. There was a baby blanket crochet pattern, and the Over Brook Cotton Tee.
The lemons can be used in so many different ways. A wreath was created a few weeks ago, but the placement of the lemons needs to be updated. Stay tuned to hear more about the lemon wreath.
I sometimes use affiliate links in my posts. This won’t cost you anything, but will help offset the cost of yarn and other supplies needed, so that I can continue bringing you crochet patterns and craft ideas. Thank you so much for your support.
That Lemon Farmhouse Basket that is in the background, is easy to crochet. Adding that ruffled liner is easy. Here is a youtube video that shows how. All of the designs in the Lemon Farmhouse Table and Kitchen Decor series of crochet patterns, are so fresh, crisp and clean. They add a bright touch to a farmhouse home.

Place a small amount of lights in the bottom of the jar, add a layer of lemons, placing them in a pleasing manner. Layer in the lights along with the lemons. Continue to layer lights and lemons into the jar, until it is full. Use a skewer or knitting needle to push the 2″ doily’s into place around the inside of the jar.

Weave the ribbon around the edge of the 8″ doily. Cinch the ribbon to fit around the mouth of the mason jar by pulling and gathering the ribbon. Don’t pull too tight and make sure the doily is evenly distributed.
Tie the ribbon ends into a square knot. Trim the ends of the ribbon. Flip the switch to turn on the lights and enjoy the Mason Jar of Lemons.
