The Diamond Shells Stitch – Elegant and Versatile
This cozy is crocheted using the Diamond Shells Stitch, a textured and lacy stitch that adds a touch of elegance to your project. I discovered the stitch on Crochet Kim’s website and instantly saw the potential. I had to make a few adjustments because dishcloth cotton can be a bit stiff, but the results are lovely and functional.
This stitch would also be beautiful in larger projects such as:
-
Handbags or totes
-
Journal or book covers
-
Pillow covers
-
Table runners
I have already used this stitch to make a Placemat with a matching Mug Rug. There is an Heirloom Shells Sampler Baby Blanket that uses this vesatile crochet stitch. I have I plan on using this stitch in a few more designs in the near future!

Color Palette Inspiration
The original set was designed to match Pioneer Woman dishes. Here are the cheerful colors I used:
-
Coral
-
Fresh Lilac
-
Mint

I love how this set matches the Pioneer Woman dishes! Her designs are so beautiful and have that vintage feel that I just love! She is talented in so many ways. The food is amazing and it is a joy to watch how she cares for her hard working family.

Thank you so much Cindy! I have added the photo, and I appreciate you letting me know about font colors. Would you mind telling me where specifically you are having trouble? I changed the color of the font at the end of the blog post. Is that the only place it was a struggle for you?
Pretty pattern, but I’m stuck on round 5. It only takes me half the way around. I did repeat twice between the **.
