Picnics and family gatherings is a time to break out the standard Plastic Solo Cup. They are a staple at most potluck dinners, tail gates and parties, but they can be so sweaty! The condensation wreaks havoc on furniture.

These lace solo cup cozies take care of that problem, and are just beautiful while they are doing the job! They are made out of moisture absorbing cotton yarn that will absorb the condensation and keep that dripping cup at bay.

This Cotton Solo Cup Cozy is crocheted using the Diamond Shells Stitch. You will find the stitch on Crochet Kim’s website. She has a few other stitches that I would like to try soon. This stitch has so many possibilities. I think it would be lovely in a handbag, a book cover. What project would you use this stitch on? Leave me a comment below, I want to hear from you. I had to make few adjustments because  the yarn I was using is stiff.

The bottoms of the cozy is a solid circle and will soak up most of the moisture. If you make them in more than one color it will be easy for folks can keep track of their cup. My sister hosts family gatherings at her house, and she always breaks out the magic marker. When she saw the solo cup cozies, she replied with, “We won’t have to use the magic marker to write everyone’s name on them!”

I love how this set matches the Pioneer Woman dishes! Her designs are so beautiful and have that vintage feel that I just love! She is talented in so many ways. The food is amazing and it is a joy to watch how she cares for her hard working family.

Wouldn’t a red white and blue set would be lovely at a July picnic, or a nautical theme with little gold buttons? So many possibilities. A Thanksgiving set would be fun! Of course an everyday set would be wonderful too…all in one color maybe? There are many options. What would you choose? Come to our Crochet and Craft Facebook group to chat with us and share your ideas. It’s a lovely place to sit and chat and share ideas. Inspiration is so much fun when a group of like minded folks get together!

Thank you so much Cindy! I have added the photo, and I appreciate you letting me know about font colors. Would you mind telling me where specifically you are having trouble? I changed the color of the font at the end of the blog post. Is that the only place it was a struggle for you?

Pretty pattern, but I’m stuck on round 5. It only takes me half the way around. I did repeat twice between the **.
