The Shabby Rose Cloche Crochet Pattern for Baby

There’s something timeless and sweet about a baby in a cloche hat. and when you add a touch of shabby rose trim, it becomes something truly special. I’ve been offering the Shabby Rose Cloche Crochet Pattern for a while now, and it continues to warm my heart every time I see someone create it for a little one.
A Crochet cloche in cream colored yarn. The lemon peel stitch adds a bit of texture and a purchased shabby rose trim has been tacked on, above the brim, with an adorable satin/sheer pink pull tie bow added.

This darling hat is crocheted using soft worsted weight yarn, making it gentle and cozy for baby’s head. The sample shown is made in a creamy yarn, accented with pink shabby rose trim and a beautiful pull tie bow.

The trim is what truly makes this cloche stand out. Add a delicate pull tie bow using a satin sheer ribbon.

Pattern Details

The crochet pattern includes sizing for:

  • Newborn to 3 months

  • 6 to 9 months

  • 12 to 18 months

The design itself is easy to follow, with clear measurements throughout so you can achieve the perfect fit.

While the crochet stitches are simple, there is a little bit of hand sewing required to tack the shabby rose trim in place. Don’t worry though, it’s very simple.

I’ve included a quick tutorial at the end of the pattern to walk you through it. Shabby rose trim is readily available at most craft stores, often sold by the spool in the ribbon section.

That Sweet Pull Tie Bow

The pull tie bow is the finishing touch that brings this little hat together. It’s surprisingly easy to make, and I’ve got you covered whether you’re a visual learner or prefer photos.
