Do you love Nautical decor?
The yarn colors, the crochet stitches and the fabric embellishments place this table runner in a Nautical category. You can effectively design this table runner to suit any style of home decor or Holiday. Maybe you love Sunflowers or Chickens? This crochet table runner will easily convert to those themes.
Would you like to design this table runner with a Fruity theme?
- Lemons are big. Use yellow and white yarn and fabric with lemons! You could even use the blue and white yarn with yellow accents.
- Cherries are cute in a kitchen. You could use red and white yarn with accents of green. I have seen adorable fabric out there with a cherry print.
- Strawberries are especially cute and I just purchased adorable flannel fabric at JoAnns with a strawberry print.
- Apples are always cute in a kitchen.
- Pineapples are cute too. I have a fun Pineapple Basket design that is perfect for holding k-cups at your coffee bar.
- Pumpkins aren’t really fruit, but this would be great in a Fall Pumpkin theme. You can find a free pumpkin towel topper design here on this blog.
It is easy to create this Table Runner with a Holiday theme.
- Christmas is the first holiday I think of. This holiday holds a lot of potential. You may want a vintage, traditional, Americana or Shabby Chic design. The fabric and yarn color will help you to create a stunning crocheted table runner.
- Thanksgiving would be fun. Maybe a turkey applique at the end of the table runner?
- Easter is the next holiday that I think of. So many fabric choices and yarn colors as well.
- July 4th! Crocheting a Table Runner with a red white and blue theme can be used for other Patritoic Holidays like Memorial Day, Flag Day and Labor Day.
- Valentine’s Day would be a sweet time to crochet this table runner and embellish it with fabric.
- St. Patricks day is here and gone so quick, but it can’t be ignored. You could add fun Shamorck Appliques to the Table Runner.
Basic sewing skills is all that is needed to create those mountains for your table runner.
I have added a fabric review on youtube to help you in your choice of fabric.
Really any fabric will work for this project. You may want to add bits of lace. I believe the more embellishments to the better!
