Table Runner | Free Crochet Pattern

A table runner can add so much beauty to home. You will love crocheting this Seaside Reflections Table Runner. you can make it as short or as long as you would like. There is video support on how to add the fabric embellishments, and I have added a fabric review on youtubeto help you in your choice of fabric. Crochet this table runner, using this free crochet pattern.Yarn Used:

Red Heart Super Saver;  MC = White 600 yds; CC = Navy 80 yds 

Gauge: 

4″x4″ = 14 st’s across x 13.5 rows high 

Swatch 
chain 26,
Row 1: sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across, ch 1 & turn (25 st)
Row 2: sc in 1st st, *dc in nxt st, sc in nxt st* repeat across; ch 1 & turn (25 st)
Row 3- 18: Repeat row 1 & 2

Hook

H-8/5.00 mm

Stitch Guide:

MC = Main Color = White or Navy

CC = Contrasting Color = Navy or White

ch = Chain

sc = Single Crochet

dc = Double Crochet

join w/ = join with

slp st = Slip Stitch

skp = Skip 

sp. = Space

nxt = Next

prev. = previous

st./st’s = stitch or stitches

beg. = beginning

* * = Complete sequence between the stars, the number of times stated;

x = Times; example Repeat 2 x or 2 times; 3 x or 3 times and so on;

in = example “in nxt st” means you will be inserting the hook under the top two loops of the next stitch to complete stitch or sequence of stitches stated

Special Stitch Guide:

scss3 = Single Crochet Spike Stitch 3; insert hook two rows below and execute sc st, repeat 2x in that same st, for a total of 3 sc spike st’s 

scss2 = Single Crochet Spike Stitch 2; insert hook two rows below and execute sc st, repeat in that same st, for a total of 2 sc spike st’s 

 

Seaside Reflections Table Runner

Row 1:

Chain 36;
sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across; ch 1 & Turn (35 st)

Row 2 – 4:

sc in 1st st and in each ch across; ch 1 & Turn; at the end of Row 4 drop MC & pull up CC at the last pull through of the last sc of Row 4 (35 st) Cut MC leaving approx. a 6″ tail, to weave in later.

Row 5:

sc in 1st st; skp 1 st, scss3 in Row below; *skp 2 st’s, scss3 in row below* 10x; skp 1 st, sc in last st; drop CC & pull up MC at the last pull through of this last sc; ch 1 & turn (2 sc & 11 scss3) Cut CC leaving approx. a 6″ tail, to weave in later.

Row 6-10:

sc in 1st st and in each st across; ch 1 & turn; at the end of Row 10, drop MC & pullup CC at the last pull through of the last sc of Row 10 (35 st) Cut MC leaving approx. a 6″ tail to weave in later.

Row 11:

sc in 1st st; skp 1 st, scss3 in Row below; *skp 2 st’s, scss3 in row below* 10x; skp 1 st, sc in last st; drop CC & pull up MC at the last pull through of this last sc; ch 1 & turn (2 sc & 11 scss3) Cut CC leaving approx. a 6″ tail, to weave in later.

Row 12-14:

sc in 1st st and in each st across; ch 1 & turn (35 st)

Row 15:

sc in 1st st; *dc in nxt st, sc in nxt st* repeat across; ch 1 & turn (35 st)

Row 16:

sc in 1st st and in each st across; ch 1 & turn (35 st)

Row 17-168: Note: You are welcome to shorten this. A lady who tested this made a beautiful centerpiece for her table by shortening it significantly.

Repeat Row 15 & 16 consecutively

Row 169-171:

Note: You are welcome to shorten to the table runner or lengthen it if you would like. A friend of mine tested the table runner and made a short version, and it looked beautiful on her table.

sc in 1st st and in each st across; ch 1 & turn; at the end of Row 171, drop MC & pull up CC at the last pull through of the last sc of Row 171, ch 1 & turn (35 st) Cut MC leaving approx. a 6″ tail, to weave in later.

Row 172 & 173:

sc in 1st st and in each st across, ch 1 & turn; at the end of Row 173, drop CC & pull up MC at the last pull through of this last sc or Row 173; ch 1 & turn (35 st) Cut CC leaving approx. a 6″ tail, to weave in later.

Row 174-178:

sc in 1st st and in each st across; ch 1 & turn; at the end of Row 178, drop MC & pull up CC at the last pull through of the last sc of Row 178; ch 1 & turn (35 st)

Row 179 & 180:

sc in 1st st and in each st across, ch 1 & turn;  at the end of Row 180, drop CC & pull up MC at the last pull through of this last sc of Row 180; ch 1 & turn (35 st) Cut CC leaving approx. a 6″ tail, to weave in later.

Row 181-184:

sc in 1st st and in each st across; ch 1 & turn (35 st) Fasten off at the end of Row 184, weave in all ends. Block using desired method. I used the Steam block to keep ends of the table runner from curling.
Finished Measurements : 11 1/4″ w x 56.5″ h
