Free Crochet Pattern For A Baby Pillbox Hat

I’m thrilled to share this free crochet pattern for a baby pillbox hat! This darling hat exudes timeless elegance and is inspired by vintage fashion & it even has vintage jewelry embellishing the brim. It’s perfect for all those precious photo moments or a special outfit for bringing baby home.

This hat pairs beautifully with the Sweet Vintage Baby Cocoon

It’s sure to become a cherished keepsake or a delightful handmade gift for loved ones. It is perfect to put on baby for sweet photo opportunities. There is also an adult sized Pillbox Hat that you can crochet for yourself to match baby.

I have designed several baby items over the years and quite a few of them are free on my blog. The sweet Helmet Hat will help keep your baby warm. This Earflap hat with a rolled brim will be your go to when you want baby to be warm and cute!

I love to crochet around a theme and this yummy Candy Corn Hat that has a matching sweater is so fun! Wait, there are candy corn shoes for baby too!

I Think You Will Adore This Pattern And Here’s Why.

  • Vintage-Inspired Elegance: The pillbox style gives this hat a classic, sophisticated look, while the addition of shabby rose trim or a vintage clip makes it truly unique.
  • Customizable Yarn Options: You can use yarn from your stash.
  • Intermediate Yet Easy: While designed for intermediate crocheters I am here to help you if you need help. Many beginners have conquered this design.
  • Great Photo Prop: This hat will elevate those photo sessions with your new baby. Especially when it’s paired with the Baby Cocoon!

Special Details That Make This Hat Unique

  1. Shabby Rose Trim: This sweet touch adds elegance and charm to the hat. I’ve included a tutorial on how to attach it easily with minimal hand sewing.
  2. Vintage Clip Accent: Take the vintage look to the next level by creating a removable clip using a piece of vintage jewelry. The tutorial includes step-by-step photos to guide you.
