This mesh chemo bucket hat is beautiful and fast to crochet. The mesh design makes this chemo hat perfect for warmer weather, but the band at the crown gives a bit more coverage, just in case your hair loss is something you want to avoid other’s being able to see. This Bucket Hat is perfect for special occasions.
It is especially sweet, when the brim is embellished with fanciness to resemble a 1920’s cloche. Lion Brand Coboo Yarn was used for this design. I have been advised that Caron Simply Soft is another good option for chemo headgear.
I have fought a battle with Breast Cancer.
When I was fighting the cancer, I decided that I wanted to create beautiful Chemo Headgear. While at my local cancer center I asked them what their needs were. They mentioned a cotton chemo cap would be good for the warmer months. They also mentioned they always need chemo hats for men.

Where do you send your hats? I would like to help make for cancer patients. I was diagnosed with breast cancer and would love to help others.
I am so sorry to hear of your diagnosis. I hope you are well? I take my caps to my local Cancer Center. The chemo/infusion department takes them in for me.
Thank you for sharing these and your story. I am making at least one for a dear friend of mine. While it’s sad that they are needed, I am humbled and grateful for something I can do for my friend.
You are so welcome. What a blessing you are.
