How To Make Gourmet Coffee – Easy Recipe

How to make your own Gourmet Coffee drink is something I have been doing for years in my own kitchen. I call this Gourmet Coffee a Happyccino, because it makes me so happy!! (pronounced like cappuccino)

There a few different ways to flavor your happycinno’s. My husband brought home Snickers creamer, so I tried my hand at making a Cararmel Snickers Happycinno. It is my new favorite.

Living on my side of the mountain has never afforded me the luxury of going to a local Starbucks to buy coffee when the mood hits, as it is 30 minutes to anywhere, and “anywhere” doesn’t have a Starbucks Coffee store. I could probably count on one hand how many times I have been inside of a Starbucks.

The journey making Happyccino’s started when I was a young mother and I needed a little afternoon pick me up. When writing crochet patterns the afternoon slump hits hard and fast, and a Happyccinos is my go to drink. It gives me a boost of energy and it tastes so good!

While writing the crochet pattern for the Simple Shells Baby Blanket I snapped a quick photo of the Happyccino that I had made, shared it in my FB group and on Instagram. There was an overwhelming response which meant it was time to share the recipe. It is very easy to make. You may find everything you need in your pantry.

HAPPYCCINO RECIPE

1 packet of Swiss Miss Hot Chocolate Mix (I don’t recommend other hot chocolate)
1.5 – 2 tsp instant coffee (I prefer Folger’s)
2-3 tsp Italian Sweet Cream Coffee Creamer
1 1/4 cups of hot water or use large cup feature on Kuerig
Large dollop of Cool Whip

Place the hot chocolate mix and instant coffee in a large coffee mug. Most days I use 2 tsp. Boil water or use the large cup feature on the Kuerig coffee maker and pour it over the hot chocolate and coffee that is in the large coffee mug. Give it a good stir. Pour in Italian Sweet Cream Coffee Creamer. Add a large dollop of Cool Whip on top. There you have it! Caution as it may be hot and could burn. When you feel it is safe to drink, sip the Happyccino drawing it through the whipped cream! Ohhhh it is sooooo good and creamy!

I hope you enjoy, and drop me a note if you would like to see different variations of my Happyccino!

A photo collage of a crocheted towel topper, and Santa is going down the chimney the wrong way. He is upside down in the chimney. The photo on the left is showing the towel topper hanging on an oven handle and the towel is white. There are two photos on the right, showing the same towel topper being used as a gift card holder. The chimney is red, with a green wreath and red bow. The top of the chimney is tan with white furry yarn that looks like snow. There is also a bit of white furry yarn at the bottom of the chimney to look like snow. Then Santas legs are sticking up, out of the top of the chimney, since he went in upside down.
